Book Club

The Coomera Waters Book Club is now called 'A Novel Approach' Book Club. They meet on the first Thursday of each month to discuss a pre-selected book in a social setting at 7pm at the Tavern (upstairs).

The upcoming meeting dates and book titles are:
  • Thurs 2 September - "Cloud Street" by Tim Winton
  • Thurs 7 October - "The Red Tent" by Anita Diamant
  • Thurs 4 November - "Salvation Creek"  by Susan Duncan
  • Thurs 2 December - "The Glass Castle" by Jeanette Walls
General notes for the Book Club;
  • All books should be available at local libraries and bookstores.
  • There will be a mix of experienced and first-time Book Clubbers in our Club. So beginners are truly welcome! Come along, listen and have your say about the books and themes.
  • It's very important to read the book or you really won't be able to have much to contribute.
  • There's a limit on member numbers in each group (15 maximum)
  • Drinks and food available from the downstairs bar and cafe.
  • Book Club is not really a good place for children.
  • As the group evolves and settles in, it will operate in a democratic way re discussions, decisions and book choices etc
  • Feel free to bring along notes for discussion. There are lots of Book Club websites that can be very helpful and interesting.
